Most creators think their subscriber count equals security. Reality check:

Email subscribers = assets you own. Average lifetime value: $37.85 each (up to $100+ in high-value niches).
YouTube subs = rented attention. They only pay if they keep watching, and you're at the mercy of RPMs, ad buyers, and YouTube's mood swings.
A social media follower = even more rented attention — worth just pennies ($0.01–$0.10).
Translation: 10,000 social followers might bring in a couple grand if you're lucky. 10,000 email subs? That could mean a far more reliable five-figure monthly income.

Decide what you'll send & name it
Light helper, if it's useful: most newsletters fall into one lane — Analyst (data/trends), Curator (best-of roundup), Expert (teach your craft), Reporter (behind the scenes), or Storyteller (your journey). Pick the one closest to how you already talk to your audience.
